What’s Next

First, I should mention that my Holiday Giveaway has ended and emails have been sent to the entrants.  If you entered, be sure to check your inbox.  Thanks, everyone!  (Now I’d best get started on those charms.) For those who have been asking… FF5 is still in the works, but I’m afraid that one has taken longer than expected. I apologize for the wait, but it shouldn’t be too much longer. I’ll post the release date as soon as I have one. If you’d like to receive an email notification when it’s available, please sign up for my newsletter.  The sign-up form is in the sidebar on the right (if you’re reading this on a desktop computer) or you can find the sign-up form here. Meanwhile, you can check out some FF5 snippets on my Facebook page. Since I’ll be wrapping up the Final Formula Series with FF5, I plan to start a new series in 2017. I’ve had a lot of readers express sadness to see the Final Formula end, and I’m with you there. However, I don’t intend for this to be goodbye forever. That said, I hope you’ll give my new series a try. This one is a Steampunk Fantasy set in the nineteenth century, but don’t expect the typical Victorian London setting. This story takes place on a canal boat on the Ohio & Erie Canal.  🙂  I hesitate to share many details since this story is still very much in the planning stages, but you can expect a mix of science and magic with the usual smart-mouthed characters, an occasional explosion, some darker elements, and a little romance. This new book will initially release in a multi-author bundle in August 2017. This bundle will include 22 never before published, full length science fiction and fantasy novels. It’s currently available for pre-order on iTunes for just $0.99, with other retailers to follow in the coming months. I’ll keep you posted when those show up. But if you buy your books through iTunes, now is a great time to reserve a copy. The price goes up once the set goes live. Check out the cover and blurb below. … Dominion Rising Find the Science Fiction and Fantasy...

A Holiday Giveaway

In this season of gift giving, I wanted to give back to all the awesome folks who have helped spread the word about my books by leaving an honest review. As a thank you for your help, I’m giving away autographed paperbacks from the Final Formula Series. To enter this giveaway, all you have to do is let me know where you left a review of one of my books. The review can be on a retailer (Amazon, Barnes & Noble, etc.) or a site like Goodreads. You’ll get a giveaway entry for each review. If you reviewed three of my books, that’s three chances to win. If you reviewed The Final Formula on Amazon, then copied that review to your Goodreads account, that counts as two reviews, and two entries. Just send me an email using the contact form here on my website, and let me know where your reviews are and what name you used to post them. Grand Prize – A complete set of signed paperbacks featuring every novel and novella in the Final Formula Series. That’s nine books! I’ll even send FF5 once it becomes available—hopefully in early 2017 (sorry, that one took longer to come together than I had hoped). Runner Up Prizes – Three lucky winners will receive autographed paperback copies of Blood Gifts, my Ian prequel novella. But that’s not all. For those special fans who went above and beyond, and reviewed every book in the Final Formula series—including the bundle—I have a little thank you gift. (See picture.) This charm features some fun icons from the series, including a vial of the Final Formula, a Fire Element bead for New Magic, and a little golden skull for Old Magic. 🙂 It’s not too late to enter! Have you been meaning to leave a review on that last book and just haven’t gotten around to it? Or maybe you just discovered the series and haven’t finished reading? You still have time. The contest ends on January 5th at midnight (Eastern Standard Time). A final note… All reviews count, even the less than glowing ones. Also, reviews don’t need to contain plot summaries and in-depth character analysis. A few...

New Release!

It’s release day for The Bonds of Blood, the second-to-the-last book in the Final Formula Series!  I’ve uploaded it in all the usual places.  Some sites are slower than others, so check back if it isn’t up at your favorite retailer.  I’ve added the links below and I’ll update them as the others become available. As I’ve mentioned before, I took a slightly different approach with this series by alternating novels told from Addie’s point of view with shorter works told from James and Elysia’s point of view.  And though I try to write a complete story in each novel/novella, none of the books are truly stand alone.  They’re all part of one big story which I plan to wrap up in FF5. The Bonds of Blood follows this formula with two exceptions.  One, it’s actually a novel at 62,000 words, and two, this one ends on a cliffhanger.  I want to apologize for that.  I dislike cliffhangers myself, especially when it’s just a gimmick to get readers to buy the next book.  That wasn’t my intent here, but to jump back to Addie’s point of view and start FF5 where I needed to, I had to leave you hanging in this one.  That said, I’ve been writing like mad to finish FF5 in a timely fashion. Thanks for giving my books a try!  I hope you enjoy the new installment.  🙂 Pick up a copy here: Amazon | Barnes & Noble | Kobo | Smashwords | Apple Read an excerpt here: The Bonds of...

Coming Soon: The Bonds of Blood

Cover Reveal and Blurb The next title in the Final Formula Series, The Bonds of Blood (aka FF4.5) is just about ready to go.  Like the other in-between books, James and Elysia tell this story.  But unlike the other in-between books, this one is a novel at almost 62,000 words. Here’s the cover and blurb.  Release date: July 15, 2016. Born without a heartbeat or a soul, James Huntsman has never felt part of the mortal world. It’s an insecurity his abusive brothers reinforced daily, and with his very existence bound to theirs through the alchemically altered blood they share, James has always been at their mercy. All that changed when James found a home within the magical community and fell in love. Elysia Mallory doesn’t mind that he is technically dead. The only thing standing between them is her lethal magic. As her health continues to deteriorate, James searches for a cure, determined to save her and give them a chance at a life together. But his brothers aren’t willing to let him go, not when the Huntsman legacy is dependent on James. They will stop at nothing to capture their wayward brother, and that includes using Elysia as leverage. James is left to decide how far he is willing to go to save the family he has chosen from the family he was created to serve. Update – I’ve added an excerpt. Read it here: The Bonds of...
